Bernhardt Forensic Engineering was created to provide attorneys and adjustors a way to work directly with an engineer for effective case resolution.

Principal Randall ‘Randy’ Bernhardt has almost 40 years of experience in structural engineering for building, industrial, and bridge projects. His experience includes field investigations of damaged and collapsed structures, condition assessment surveys, material testing, structural analysis, and detail design. Project experience includes investigations of damage and collapse from high winds and tornados, investigations of damage from explosions and fires, design assignments for single and multi-story buildings constructed of wood, steel, masonry, and concrete, design of industrial structures for petrochemical facilities including pipe racks, process structures, machine supports, pharmaceutical, food, and grain processing structures, broad experience in design of multi-span bridges constructed of wood, pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete,and structural steel, and design of wastewater and water treatment facilities consisting of tanks, buildings, foundations, and chambers. He has led projects that included collapse investigations, damage to buildings, building assessments, bridge inspections, load ratings, as well as new building design, new bridge design, repair design, and proof testing for bridges.
